“Using a QGIS for small scale agriculture mapping”
2019-08-30, 10:00–10:20, Simfonia
I have been using QGIS for a looooooong time....as a developer platform, not so much as a 'production GIS user'. In March 2019 I bought a smallholding in Portugal, moved my family, 2 dogs, 2 cats, all my gardening tools and a lot of stuff I probably won't need from South Africa to Portugal. Now what? Get mapping of course! I dug out my trusty copy of QGIS, loaded INPUT and QField on my Android tablet and got to work! In this talk, I will show how I used QGIS to plan my field mapping work, build a detailed inventory of my smallholding and generally tried to make the most awesome kick-butt QGIS project on the planet*.
